Mr. Joel Williams, 60, of Fayetteville, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 19, 2026 at the Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, May 23, 2026 at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro with Stu Greene officiating. The burial will follow in the Salemburg Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 2:50 PM on Saturday, May 23, 2026 at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro.

Joel was a native of Cumberland County. He was preceded in death by his father, Tyson Williams and his mother, Velva Bass Little.

He is survived by his sister, Cyndie Young and husband, Kenny; 2 nephews, Sydney Young and Zackary Young; his step-father, Rev. Milton Little; three step-siblings; and aunts, uncle and numerous cousins.
