Gregory Lee Maxwell, Jr.

Gregory Lee Maxwell, Jr., 36 went to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 23, 2025 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

Funeral service will be held at 4:00 PM Sunday, October 26, 2025 at Sharon Baptist Church, officiating will be Rev. Larry Wilkes.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Saturday, October 25, 2025 at Butler Funeral Home in Stedman.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Daniel Gene Maxwell, Sr. and Alice Jean Maxwell; and his maternal grandfather, Richard Pettit.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Miley, Sophia and Hunter Maxwell; father, Gregory Lee Maxwell, Sr. & step mother, Marisa Maxwell; mother, Judy Pettit; sister, Kristine Maxwell; brother, Daniel Maxwell; grandmother, Ruth Pettit; aunts, Anita Bradshaw and Connie Dellinger; and his uncles, Glen Maxwell and Ricky Pettit.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Gregory Maxwell, Sr. to help with the needs of Miley, Sophia and Hunter.
