Grayson Ronald Hester, 70 passed away at his home on Tuesday, February 4, 2025 surrounded by his family.

Memorial service will be held at 6:00 PM Saturday, February 8, 2025 at Butler Funeral Home Chapel in Stedman, officiating will be Charles Taylor.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 5:50 PM Saturday at the funeral home prior to the service.

Grayson was born in Cumberland County to the late Dwight Hester and Estelle Hodges Hester.  In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by his sisters, Bonnie Carter, Brenda Cavin and Betty Turner.

Grayson was a United States Army and National Guard Veteran.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Heidi Hester of the home; daughter, Michel Autry (Brett) of Stedman; grandchildren, Lenzy Autry of Wilmington, Ryan Autry of Stedman, and Regan Shatley (Chris) of Autryville; great granddaughter, Ariel Shatley; brothers, Johnny Hester of Fayetteville, Donnie Ray Swanson of Stedman, and his twin, Gregory Hester.
