AUTRYVILLE
Mrs. Gladys Smith Sessoms, 69 of 563 Yellowskin Road, Autryville, died on Monday, November 24, 2014 at Sampson Regional Medical Center in Clinton.
The funeral will be held at 2:30 P.M. on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at Butler Funeral Home, Roseboro, with Rev. Jessie Matthews and Rev. Kenneth Carlton officiating. Burial will follow at the Faircloth Cemetery.
Mrs. Sessoms was born on November 28, 1944 in Robeson County to the late George Washington and Elizabeth Mae Thompson Smith. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jessie Jerry Sessoms; and two brothers, Dewey Smith and George Washington Smith, Jr. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by one daughter, Georgianna Locklear of the home; two grandsons, Justin Michael Locklear of Maxton and Rocky Dean Locklear of the home; five sisters, Louise S. Williams, Carolyn S. Hayes, Rosie Dale Blanks, Sylvia Jane Locklear and Judith Smith; and three brothers, Jessie Smith, Frank Smith and Ronnie Smith.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday afternoon from 1:00 to 2:15 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro and other times at the home.
