Gladys Alease (Lucas) Batchelor

Ms. Gladys Alease (Lucas) Batchelor, 91 formerly of Roseboro, passed away Sunday, April 19, 2020 at Highland House of Fayetteville.

The family will have a memorial service at a later date.

She was born in Sampson County to the late, Otto Sylvester Lucas and Eunice Lee Naylor Lucas.  She is also preceded in death by her husband, Max Marson Batchelor; son, Gary Wayne Batchelor; and brothers, Weldon, Floyd, James, Gadys, Landon and Charles Lucas.

Gladys was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend.  She loved her family and friends, and she will be truly missed by all who knew her.

She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Jeanette Anderson of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Lori Cruz (Gabe) of Linden and Aaron Krogh (Nate) of Minnesota; great-grandchildren, Marina and Christopher Cruz; brother, Wendell Lucas (Aurene) of FL; and sisters, Sadie Kunkel (Robert) and Janie Ransbotham all of Fayetteville; and Helen Gesino (Charles) of Florida.
