Gerald Seamore Autry, Sr. 74 passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, January 11, 2021 at Butler Funeral Home Chapel in Stedman, officiating will be Rev. Tommy Honeycutt.  Entombment will follow at Cumberland Memorial Gardens in Fayetteville.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 12:50 PM Monday at the funeral home prior to the service.

He was born in Cumberland County to the late Lenzy Martin Autry and Flora Ann Manness Autry.  He is also preceded in death by his brothers, Vernon and Lenzy Autry; and a sister, Annie West.

He retired from Monsanto with over 30 years of service.

He is survived by his sons, Gerald Autry, Jr. and William Autry & wife, Renee all of Fayetteville; sister, Joyce Autry of Fayetteville; grandchildren, James Autry of Fayetteville, Crystal Norkett & husband, John of Roseboro, Amber Autry of Bladenboro, and Susan Johnson of Fayetteville; great-grandchildren, Khloe Autry, John Norkett, Jr. and Bentley Norkett; and his former spouse, Patricia Long of Fayetteville.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his honor to Friends of The Cancer Center at Cape Fear Valley, 1638 Owen Drive, Fayetteville, NC  28304.
