ROSEBORO Mr. George Matthew Williford, age 71 of 2965 Fleet Cooper Road, died on Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 23, 2010 at 3:00 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Spell officiating. Burial will follow at T.J. Hall Cemetery in Autryville with military honors. Mr. Williford was born on January 30, 1939 in Sampson County to the late Elbra Wilson and Brilla Jane Hall Williford. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy and worked as a Sanitation Worker with the Food Lion Warehouse. Mr. Williford is survived by: his wife, Theresa C. Williford of the home; one son, Randy Williford of Morganton, NC; two step-daughters, Corrie Hall of Asheville, NC, and Charlene Suchan of Virginia; two step-sons, Shannon Buff of Garner, NC, and Steve Melrose of Florida; one brother, Jerry W. Williford of Fayetteville; one grandson, Justin Williford of Roseboro; ten step-grandchildren and five step-great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Friday afternoon from 2 to 3 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro, and other times at the home. Arrangements by Butler Funeral Home, 401 W.
