George Rudolph Sessoms, 80

AUTRYVILLE

Mr. George Rudolph Sessoms, 80 of Autryville, passed away Friday, September 1, 2017 at Sampson Regional Medical Center.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00pm Monday, September 4, at Butler Funeral Home, Roseboro, with Reverend Andy Wood officiating.

Born January 16, 1937 in Sampson County, he was the son of the late Fleet Lee and Gladys Williams Sessoms. He is also preceded in death by his sisters, Sallie Sessoms, Merline Plemmons. He worked as a Flagman with Underground Construction.

He is survived by his son, Lee Sessoms and wife Pam of Autryville; granddaughter, Ginger Rittenhouse and husband Tommy of Fayetteville; great grandson, Chance Barefoot; great granddaughter, Presley Rittenhouse; brother, Sherman Sessoms and wife Joyce of Rock Hill, SC; and friend, Wanda Johnson of Autryville.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 2:45pm Monday prior to the service, and other times at the home of his son, 230 E. Old Stage Road, Autryville.
