Mr. George Daniel Mote, 92

Mr. George Daniel Mote, 92, of 2002 Mote Road, Harrells, passed away Thursday, Aug. 24, 2006 at Sunbridge Nursing Center in Elizabethtown. Funeral services will be held Sunday, Aug. 27, 2006 at 4 PM at Colly Chapel Holiness Church with the Rev. Jim Woodruff and Rev. James Tatum officiating. Burial will follow in the Dyson Family Cemetery. Mr. Mote was a native of Sampson County, the son of the late George and Mary Barnes Mote. He was a farmer. Mr. Mote is survived by: wife, Matilda Smith Mote, of the home; two step-sons, William Gilmore of Tennessee and Adolph "Buddy" Gilmore, of Tabor City; step-daughter, Jane Gilmore Long, of Harrells; 11 step-grandchildren and 17 step great-grandchildren. The family will recieve friends Saturday night from 6 till 8 PM at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro.
