Mr. George Thomas King, II, 69 passed away Thursday, September 6, 2018 at Highsmith Rainey Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 12:30pm Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at Butler Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow with Air Force Honors at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery, Spring Lake.

He is preceded in death by his father, Vern H. King, Jr.; sister, Emma Ruth Minnich and a brother, Gerald L. Morgan.

He was a United States Air Force Veteran who served in the Vietnam War.

He is survived by his daughter, Virginia A. King Allatt; grandson, William D. Allatt; mother, Virginia King; brother, Vern H. King, III & wife, Susan; nieces, Kimberly M. Swanhart & husband, Randy and Shayla A. King; and a companion, Iona Coleman.

The family will receive friends from 12:00pm to 12:30pm Wednesday at the funeral home prior to the service.

George was a donor to burn victims as his last act of human kindness.
