Mr. Gene Woodrow Smith, 77 of Salemburg passed away on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at his home.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, May 26 at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro with the Reverend Allen Mayo and Reverend Tim Gore officiating. The burial will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 10:00 - 10:50 AM prior to the service.

Mr. Smith was a native of Bladen County, the son of Eugene and Maggie Autry Smith. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his son, Dale Smith. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army National Guard.

He is survived by his wife, Josephine Smith of the home; sister, Geraldine Carr and husband, W.F. of Clinton; two grandchildren, Joseph Cameron Smith and Joshua Dale Smith; two great-grandchildren, one niece and one nephew.
