Gealda Matthews Williams went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at Carolina Inn in Fayetteville.

Funeral service will be held at 4:00 PM Friday, May 5, 2023 at Clement Baptist Church, officiating will be Rev. Scott Keith.  Burial will follow at Maxwell Cemetery in Autryville.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM to 3:50 PM Friday at the church prior to the service.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Azery and Eva Bell Matthews; husband of 66 years, James “Frank” Franklin Williams; son, Jay Williams; and brother, Phil Matthews.

Gealda was a longtime member of Clement Baptist Church, and she retired from the State of North Carolina with over 32 years of service in the Social Services Department.  She was a loving mother, grandmother and sister who will be truly missed by all who knew her.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her son, David Williams & wife, Lisa of Eastover; daughter, Jill Williams of Wade; grandsons, Brock and Rylan Williams; and brother, Gerald Matthews & wife, Sylvia of Wade.
