Gary Mitchell Dail, Sr., 78 went to be with the Lord on Monday, February 19, 2024 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, February 22, 2024 at Butler Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at McMillan Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Wade.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 1:50 PM Thursday at the funeral home before the service.

Gary is preceded in death by his parents, Duval Dail and Bonnie McLaurin Dail; wife, Gayle Dail; infant twin sons, Perry and Berry Dail; grandson, Espn Sallie; brother, Dennis Dail; nephew, Mitchell Dail.

Gary retired from PWC with 30 years of service as a line supervisor, and he served with the National Guard.  Gary loved life and loved to make people laugh.  He was an avid UNC fan, and loved Nascar.  He was also a lifetime member of McMillan Presbyterian Church.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Gary Dail, Jr. & wife, Eden, and Michele Sallie & husband, Carl; grandchildren, McKala Sallie, Alex Jackson, and Keefer Dail; brother, Royce Dail & wife,Frankie; great grandchildren, Andromeda, Draven and Malia Jackson, Riven and Tilly Dail; sister-in-law, Barbara Dail; and his girlfriend, Cindy Guy.
