Mr. Gary W. "Buddy" Wrench, 70, of 237 Martin Road, passed away Friday, May 18, 2007 at Betsy Johnson Regional Medical Center in Dunn.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, May 20, 2007 at 3:00 PM at Baptist Chapel Church with the Rev. Alan Roberts and Rev. Tim Register officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mr. Wrench was a native of Sampson County, the son of the late Thelmer Wrench. He was an Army veteran and was the former owner and operator of 40 years of Old Hickory Barbecue.
Mr. Wrench is survived by: wife, Phyllis Wrench, of the home; two sons, Todd Wrench, of Godwin and Clark Wrench, of Dunn; two step-sons, Dail Butler, of Clinton and Shaun Butler, of the home; mother, Vallie Wrench, of Godwin; two sisters, Sylvia Jackson, of Godwin and Rose Matthews, of Hampstead; three brothers, R.F. "Pete" Wrench, Edwin "Pee Wee" Wrench and Kent Wrench, all of Godwin; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Saturday night from 6 till 8 PM at Baptist Chapel Church.
Services are entrusted to Butler Funeral Home, 401 W. Roseboro Street, Roseboro.
