Gary Richard Bearden

Mr. Gary Richard Bearden, 89 of North Myrtle Beach and formerly of Salemburg went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 29, 2024 at his home surrounded by his family.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, February 4, 2024 at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro with the Reverend Andy Wood officiating. The burial will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 2:50 PM on Sunday, February 4, 2024 at the funeral home prior to the service.

Mr. Bearden was a native of Shelbyville, TN, the son of Finis Hale and Lily Clary Crowell Bearden. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Marguerite Bearden; and two sons, Jody Bearden and Alex Bearden.

He leaves to cherish his memory his daughter, Bonnie Jackson and husband, Joe of Winterville; two sons, Glenn Paul of Dacula, GA; and Fred Paul of Orlando, FL; five grandchildren, Melissa Paul, Shea Greenfield, Savanna Jackson, Bray Jackson and Garris Jackson; five great-grandchildren, Writer Leto, Ocean Leto, Jamal Greenfield, Aliyah Greenfield and Maya Greenfield; his sister, Peggy Wassum; two adopted daughters, Heather Martin and Chrystal Cartrette ;  adopted granddaughter, Chasity Cartrette and husband, Ryan Wymer; and adopted great-grandchild, Madelyn Wymer.
