Gail (Braswell) Strickland

Ms. Gail Braswell Strickland, 69 went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at her home surrounded by her family.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at Freedom Baptist Church in Eastover with the Reverend Paul Worley officiating. The burial will follow at Roseboro Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 1:50 PM on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at the church prior to the service.

Ms. Strickland was a native of Cumberland County, the daughter of Oscar Winston and Lorena Sessoms Braswell. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Harold Dean Braswell.

She leaves to cherish her memory her son, Donald “Al” Strickland, Jr. and wife, Russchelle of Raeford; her daughter, Lorena “Pris” Greenhill of Fayetteville; four grandchildren, Alyson Strickland, Katlyn Person (Logan), Emily Strickland and Alan Strickland; and five siblings, W. Frank Braswell of Jensen Beach. FL; Donnie R. Braswell of Raleigh; C Wayne Braswell of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; Larry A. Braswell of Jupiter, FL; and Marlene Braswell Mozingo of St. Augustine, FL.
