Frederick Lee Shipp, 85, of Tyndall Bridge Road, passed away August 7, 2022.

A Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro, NC, officiating will be Rev. Robert Hunter.   Interment will follow in the Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Salemburg, NC. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  The family requests that masks be worn due to COVID.

Freddie was born September 18, 1936 in Midland, Virginia, he was the son of the late John Shipp and Virginia Moore. He was a distinguished member of the United States Navy, the District of Columbia Metropolitan Police Department, and a long-time Master Electrician and brother of IBEW Local 26.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 56 years, Faye Shipp; Sons, Danny Shipp and wife, Margaret; John Carter and wife, Debbie; Sister, Sharon Pittman; Granddaughters, Trisha Austin, Tracie Hatfield and husband, Tommy, Hannah Shipp; Great Grandchildren, Conner Hatfield, Victoria Austin, Jessica Austin, Kellan Hatfield, JT Austin, Lily Hatfield; and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family requests those who wish to express sympathy consider making a donation to the Mintz Christian Academy in Roseboro or Hollands Chapel in Salemburg.
