Mr. Fred A. Sessoms, 92 of Roseboro went home to be with the Lord on Friday, December 24, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 29 at Mill Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Tom Hayes and Rev. Tommy Honeycutt officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 1:50 PM at the church prior to the service.

Mr. Sessoms was a native of Sampson County, the son of Dallie P. and Carrie Lela Owen Sessoms.  He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Grace Edwards and Frances Sandy.  He was the owner and operator of Fred’s Store in Roseboro for 32 years.  He was a member of Mill Creek Baptist Church.  He was also a U. S. Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Hilda J. Sessoms of the home; three children, Tony Wayne Coats and wife, Sherri of Roseboro, Donna Coats Bullard and husband, Jeff of Roseboro and Freddie Allen Sessoms and wife, Jessica of Roseboro; seven grandchildren, Austin Coats, Bryson Coats, Abbey Bullard, Jackson Bullard, Olivia Sessoms, Cole Sessoms and Maddi Rae Sessoms.
