Mr. Fred "FA" Allen Matthews, 75 passed away Monday, July 31, 2017 at the VA Hospital in Fayetteville.
A private graveside will be held at Lafayette Memorial Park with military honors.
He is preceded in death by his father, Fred Matthews. He was a United States Army Veteran of the Vietnam War.
He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Sylvia Matthews; mother, Mittie Matthews; sisters, Ida Autry, Edith Edge & husband, Burnice, Mary Beasley & husband, Ken, Barbara Pruitt & husband, Kermit and Elaine Simmons & husband, Dennis; and brother, Leon Matthews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The American Diabetes Association, 2451 Crystal Drive; Suite 900, Arlington, VA 22202.
Services entrusted to Butler Funeral Home, 6535 Clinton Road, Stedman.
