Franklin Delano West, Sr.

Mr. Franklin Delano West, Sr., 88 went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at his home.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, September 17 at Cedar Creek Baptist Church with the Reverend Jeff Buchanan officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Masonic Rites. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 1:50 PM at the church prior to the service.

Mr. West was a native of Cumberland County, the son of Archie Bradford and Lila Mae Thaggard West. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Betty Weaver West. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Stedman Masonic Lodge No. 730 and a Sudan Shriner.

He leaves to cherish his memory his son, Franklin D. West, Jr. and wife, Sharon of Fayetteville; daughter, AnneMarie Ziegler and husband, Paul of Fayetteville; granddaughter, April Lyle Utz and husband, Greg of Raleigh; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
