Mr. Franklin James Niester, Sr., 77 of Fayetteville, passed away Monday, May 16, 2016.

The funeral will be held 11:00 am Friday at Peoples Baptist Church, 5256 Hummingbird Place, Fayetteville, with Reverend Robert Guynn officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Fisher Cemetery.

He was born June 2, 1938 in Macomb County, Michigan, to the late Anthony and Marion York Niester. He was a Veteran of the Air Force and worked as a Carpenter.

He is survived by his wife, Pauline Niester of the home; four daughters, Cheryl Kalb of Fayetteville, Rose McGrath of Fayetteville, Emma Jane Powell of Southport, and Lisa Way of Hope Mills; two sons, Tony Niester of Texas, and Frank Niester, Jr. of Sanford; two sisters, Barbara Motauye of New Jersey, and Carol Uneahl of Wisconsin; and one step-brother, Floyd Eehate of Minnesota.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 10:45 am Friday at Peoples Baptist Church.
