WADE Mr. Francis Cordell Strickland, 76 went home to be with his Lord on Tuesday, November 20, 2012. The funeral service will be held on Friday at 3:00 PM at Bethany Church of God of Prophecy with the Rev. Jeff Burkhardt officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Strickland was a native of Cumberland County, the son of the late James Purdie and Mittie Elizabeth Horne Strickland. He was a farmer. He is survived by his wife, Ann Strickland of the home; 4 sons, Connie Strickland and wife, Pamela of Fayetteville, Greg Strickland and wife, Kim of Wade, Roger Strickland of Wade and Mike Strickland and wife, Tonya of Hope Mills; one brother, Joe Strickland and wife, Betty of Fayetteville; one sister, Jacque McCall of Fayetteville; 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 2-3 PM on Friday at the church. Services entrusted to Butler Funeral Home, 6535 Clinton Road, Stedman, NC 28391.
