Mr. Francis Averitt Beal, Sr. 83, of 5113 Cedar Creek Rd, Fayetteville, N.C. 28312 died Thursday, March 19, 2009 at Veterans Administration Medical Center in Fayetteville.
A Funeral Service is planned for Sunday, March 22, 2009 at 4PM at Cedar Creek Baptist Church. Dr. John Peverett officiating. Burial to follow at the Church Cemetery.
Mr. Beal was a native of Cumberland County, and was married to his wife Bessie for 54 years. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of W.W.II. And worked for D.K. Taylor Oil Company for 42 years. He was a lifelong member of Cedar Creek Baptist Church and member of the Golden Echoes and the A.B. West Sunday School Class. Mr. Beal was preceded in death by his parents Talmadge and Marcia Beal, brothers: James, Preston and W.T. Beal and Sister Helen Ake.
Mr. Beal is survived by his wife Bessie Thompson Beal of the home, daughters; Ann Bedsole and husband Earl, Betty Musselwhite and husbanad of Fayetteville, Eva Brock and husband Gary Sr. of Roseboro, son; Francis Averitt Beal Jr. of Fayetteville, Grandchildren; Larry and Andy Pleasants of Fayetteville, Michael Bedsole of Aberdeen, Michelle Reed of Durham, Victoria and Alexander Musselwhite of Fayetteville, Casey and Gary Brock II of Roseboro, Brandon Washum, Courtney and Kaitlyn Beal of Fayetteville, great-grandchildren, Nathan Pleasants, Eddie Nunnery of Fayetteville and Camden Casey of Florida, Sister, Cuva Grimes and twin brother Fred Beal of Fayetteville.
A visitation is planned for Saturday night, March 21, 2009 from 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home in Stedman.
