Mrs. Frances Imperato Williams, 88

AUTRYVILLE

Frances (Francoise Marie Georgette) Imperato Williams, age 88, went to her heavenly home on Monday, June 20, 2016 surrounded by her family. Also with her were her new family and friends at Golden Years Nursing & Rehab standing in the wings to care and support her in her last moments.

She retired from Clement School as a cafeteria worker and was the cheerleading coach for many years being called “mama” by many of her cheerleading girls.

She was preceded in death by the love of her life, C. A. Williams. Married on November 30, 1946 in Reims, France, they were blessed with 66 years of marriage. Also preceded in death was her beloved daughter, Denise Barnes; parents, Francois Gaston Imperato and Eugenie Adele Yernaux in France; sisters Mauricette and Biquette; and brother Pierre.

She is survived by her son, Larry Williams and wife Barbara; daughter, Nancy Norris and husband Lee; son-in-law, Steve Barnes; 5 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; her sister-in-law, Lettie Lou Gray; and her loving nieces and nephews.

The visitation will be held Saturday, June 25 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm at Butler Funeral Home, 401 W. Roseboro Street, Roseboro. The funeral will be held Sunday, June 26 at 3:00 pm at Mt. Carmel Church of God of Prophecy, 1655 Mt. Carmel Church Road, Autryville. The family will be gathering at the home at other times.
