Mrs. Frances Bishop Swaney, 91

STEDMAN Mrs. Frances Bishop Swaney, 91 of 6551 Willow Oates Drive, Stedman, died on Sunday, June 8, 2014 at her home. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at Northwood Temple, Fayetteville, with Rev. John Hedgepeth officiating. Burial will follow at Cumberland Memorial Gardens in Fayetteville. Mrs. Swaney was born on August 21, 1922 in Mobile, Alabama, to the late William Westley and Acturius Molly Lipscomb Bishop. She worked as an Accounts Receiving Clerk with Main NCO Club at Ft. Bragg. She is survived by: three daughters, Pat Horne and husband, Rowland of Fayetteville, Beverly Hodges and husband, James of Hope Mills and Teresa Strickland and husband, Tommy of Stedman; one son, Paul W. Swaney, Jr. and wife, Teresa of Randleman; three sisters, Florence Fell of Fair Hope, Alabama, Barbara Green of Valdosta, Georgia and Annie Fatjo of Miami, Florida; ten grandchildren, Susie Horne Arndt, Kenny Horne, Brandon Hodges, Aaron Hodges, Paul W. Swaney, III, Jeremy Swaney, Lindsay Swaney, Travis Strickland, Art Strickland and Tonya Best; 13 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. The family will receive friends on Wednesday morning from 10:00 to 10:45 A.M. at Northwood Temple, 4250 Ramsey Street, Fayetteville.
