Mrs. Frances S. Johnson, 74

ELIZABETHTOWN Mrs. Frances Smith Johnson, 74, of Elizabethtown, passed away Thursday, July 3, 2008 at SunBridge Care and Rehabilitation of Elizabethtown. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, July 6, 2008 at 3:00 P.M. at Ammon Pentecostal Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Beck officiating. Burial will follow at Windsor United Methodist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Johnson was born in Cumberland County and was the daughter of the late William Street and Daisy Bell McDonald Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband Coleman Johnson, two sisters, Pauline Baker and Annie Mae Baker and a brother, Peyton Smith. Mrs. Johnson is survived by: five daughters, Mrs. Patricia Wengret of Elizabethtown, Ms. Rebecca Johnson and Ms. Pamela Priest of Hope Mills, Mrs. Vivian Priest of Tar Heel, and Ms. Phyllis Vause of Bladenboro; and two sons, Mr. Gerald Johnson and Mr. Jeff Johnson of Elizabethtown. The family will receive friends on Saturday evening from 6 until 8 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro, and other times at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Vivian Priest, 11701 NC Hwy 87 W, Tar Heel, NC. The family would like to express their thanks to the staff of SunBridge Care and Rehabilitation Center for the special care given to their Mother.
