Mrs. Frances (Holland) Hollingsworth, 86 of Salemburg went to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 15, 2024 at Southwood Nursing and Retirement Center surrounded by her family.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, June 20, 2024 at Peniel Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Reverend Tommy Oliver officiating. The burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at Peniel Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Mrs. Hollingsworth was a native of Sampson County, the daughter of Robert Minson and Edna McPhail Holland. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Edward Blackman Hollingsworth, Jr.; her granddaughter, Danielle Lynch; her son-in-law, Delma Joyner; and two brothers, Henry “Boozie” Holland and Robert Holland.
Frances was a member of Peniel Pentecostal Holiness Church, a member of the choir, Sunday school teacher, women’s ministry leader and world’s mission board member of Falcon.
She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Gail Joyner and Sandra Lynch; two granddaughters, Paula Joyner; and Mikayla Lynch Freeman and husband, Rodney Taylor Freeman; her great-grandson, Otis Edward Jones, III; and numerous special nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers may be made to Peniel Pentecostal Holiness Church World Missions Fund, 3681 Dunn Road, Roseboro, NC 28382.
