Mr. Floyd Earl Russell, Sr., 77 went to be with the Lord Sunday, July 2, 2017 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center with his family by his side.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Thursday, July 6, 2017 at Stedman Church of God of Prophecy in Stedman, officiating will be Pastor Don Baldwin. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Earl Russell and Lillie Mae Horne Russell. He is also preceded in death by a brother, Steve Russell.

He was a longtime member of Stedman Church of God of Prophecy. He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. He also loved hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his wife, Bernice Russell; son, Floyd Earl Russell, Jr. & wife, Jackie; daughters, Lee Page & husband, Lennon and Patricia Ann Rowland & husband, Douglas; sister, Vickie Manning & husband, Frazier; half brother, Jackie Hartley; 8 grandchildren, Keith Squires, Erin Taganas, Lennon Page, II, Kenneth Page, Jacob Russell, Jonah Russell, Brandel Thornton and Robbie Thornton; 4 great grandchildren, Leah Squires, Kayleigh Squires, Jaxsen Squires and Lucas Thornton; sister-in-law, Betty Russell; niece, Lynn Merritt; and nephews, James, Mike, Robert, Thomas and Billy O'Hern

The family will receive friends from 6:00pm to 8:00pm Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at the funeral home and at other times at 6687 Oak Grove Church Road in Stedman.
