Florene Brisson Alfano, 94 passed away Sunday, December 18, 2016 at Haymount Rehab & Nursing Center.

She was born in Robeson County to the late Troy Brisson & Colie Freeman Brisson. In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by her husband, Angelo Alfano and son, Keith Alfano.

Florene was a longtime member of Snyder Memorial Baptist Church, 1979 president of the Cumberland County Shrinetts; and was a bookkeeper for JC Penney's for many years. She and her late husband, Angelo shared a love of dancing, especially ballroom dancing. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, and will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her children, Jerry Alfano & wife, Brenda of Carolina Shores, Donna Chase & husband, Kenneth of Autryville and Barry Alfano & wife, Sherry of Buford, GA; 5 grandchildren, Ritchie Alfano, Terry Alfano, Audrey Chase Wallace, Angela Chase Jackson and Andrea Alfano; 9 great grandchildren, Caitlyn Alfano, Justin Alfano, Juliete Alfano, vince Alfano, Lauren Alfano, Kelsey Alfano, Addison Jackson, Chase Jackson and Geroge Dylan Wallace; 2 step great grandchildren, Macayla Wallace and Krisalyn Wallace; 1 great great grandson, Mason Carter; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at Butler Funeral Home Chapel, officiating will be Rev. Sandy Saunders & Rev. Richard Spell. Interment will follow at Lafayette Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 11:00am to 11:50am Wednesday at the funeral home before the service and at other times at 3167 South River Road, Autryville.
