Mrs. Flora Monroe Lockamy, 92

STEDMAN Mrs. Flora Monroe Lockamy, 92, of 156 Hillsboro Street, passed away Sunday, Sept. 7, 2008 at Highsmith-Rainey Specialty Hospital in Fayetteville. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2008 at 11:00 am at Butler Funeral Home Chapel in Stedman with the Rev. Rose Conners officiating. Entombment will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park. Mrs. Lockamy was a native of Cumberland County and the daughter of the late Kenneth Herbert and Ida Mae Leslie Monroe. She was preceded in death by her husband J.W. Lockamy and was a dispatcher with South River EMC before retiring. She is survived by: son, Clarence Lockamy, of Granite Falls, NC; 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. A public viewing will be held on Monday from 1-5 pm at Butler Funeral Home in Stedman.
