Mrs. Flora "Rickie" Benton, 69 of 4491 Mintz Road, Roseboro, passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2016, at her home.

A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, April 9, at the Family Farm, 64 Ranch Lane, Roseboro, with Wayne Horne officiating.

She was born November 26, 1946 in Cumberland County and is preceded in death by her parents, Willie C. Brown, Sr. and Gladys Pearl Davis Brown; husband, J.C. Benton; and brother, James Thomas Brown.

She is survived by her daughter, Renee Horne of Roseboro; brothers, Willie C. Brown, Jr. of Fayetteville, Rodney Brown of Roseboro; step-mother, Betty B. Brown of Hope Mills; foster-daughter, Shannon Caperoon of Cary; and several nieces and nephews.
