Mrs. Faye D. Williams, 76

AUTRYVILLE

Mrs. Faye D. Williams, 76 of 2645 Ernest Williams Road, Autryville, passed away Thursday, December 15, 2016 at her home.

Born on April 22, 1940 in Cumberland County, she was the daughter of the late Vetron and Larrie Bass Draughon. She is preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Jerry Draughon.

She retired from Cumberland County as Payroll Supervisor. She was on the Lumberton Area Subscriber Advisory Council for BCBS. She worked with Sampson Regional Medical Center in Accounts Payable for five years. She was a member of the Glad Tidings Quartet where she was the Pianist and Lead Singer for over 20 years. She was a member of Union Grove Baptist Church where she served as the church secretary for 28 years, and also served as Youth Choir Director.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Prentice Williams; one daughter, Rhonda Sumners of Autryville; one son, Scott Williams and wife Gina of Autryville; four grandchildren, Anthony Parker, Danielle Williams, Nicholas Williams, and Christian Williams; two sisters, Gertie Spell and Vickie Draughon both of Autryville; and two brothers, Junior Draughon of Dunn, and Johnnie Draughon of Autryville.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday at Butler Funeral Home Chapel, 6535 Clinton Road, Stedman, with Reverend Paul Honeycutt and Reverend Lee Lane officiating. Burial will be private.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 1:50 pm prior to the service, and other times at the home.
