Ms. Georgia Faye (Hobbs) Knowles, 73 went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 6, 2023 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

A celebration of life service will be held at 5:00 PM on Friday, March 10, 2023 at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro with the Pastor Rick Kelly officiating.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 4:50 PM on Friday, March 10, 2023 at the funeral home prior to the service, and at other times at her daughter’s home Shelia Davidson, 2070 Boykin Bridge Rd, Clinton, NC 28328.

Ms. Knowles was a native of Sampson County, the daughter of George Jefferson and Ruth Elizabeth Boyette Hobbs. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Barbara Hobbs; grandparents, David and Annie Ruth Boyette ; and Tillman and Ida Hobbs. She was a beautician for 51 years.

She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Shelia Davidson and husband, Jake of Clinton; her son, Larry Knowles, Jr. of N. Myrtle Beach; two grandchildren, McKenzie Davidson and Dylan Davidson; her brother, George “Buster” Hobbs and wife, Linda of Wilmington; her sister, Connie Bradshaw of Selma; her brother-in-law, Alton Hobbs of Dunn; and several loving nieces, nephews and friends.
