FAYETTEVILLE Mrs. Evelyn Jewel Kivett, 83 of Fayetteville died on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at the Carolina Rehabitation Center. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, May 24, 2014 at Butler Funeral Home in Stedman. Burial will follow in the Judson Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Kivett was a native of Cumberland County, the daughter of the late Alex and Docia Pope Jackson. She was a private sitter for many years. She is survived by a daughter, Annie Elaine Benzing of Dunn; a son, Dennis Earl Shearin of Fayetteville; a sister, Isabelle Johnson of Fayetteville and three grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Saturday afternoon from 1:00 to 1:45 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home in Stedman and at other times at 2586 Cedar Creek Road, Fayetteville, NC.
