Mrs. Eva Belle Matthews, 93

WADE Mrs. Eva Belle Faircloth Matthews 93, of 8056 Maxwell Road, Wade, NC passed away April 3, 2013, in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. She was born in Sampson County on July 11, 1919, a daughter of the late Arthur McCoy Faircloth and Repsie Dudley Faircloth. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Azery Matthews and a son, Arthur Phil Matthews. Mrs. Matthews was a homemaker and member of Clement Baptist Church. Survivors include: Daughter, Gealda M. Williams and husband, Franklin of Wade; Son: Azery Gerald Matthews and wife of Wade; Brother: Elba Faircloth and wife, Elba of New Orleans; 6 Grandchildren: Geran Matthews, Kelly Weeks and husband, John, Jay Williams, David Williams and wife, Lisa, Jill Williams and Deanna Boarts and husband Mike; 5 Great-grandchildren: Brittany McGuirt and husband, Jason, Matthew Boarts and wife, Laura, Kinsey Altman and husband, Blake, Rylan Williams and Brock Williams. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M.,Saturday, April 6, 2013, at Clement Baptist Church, Autryville, NC with Dr. James Dees officiating. Burial will follow in Maxwell Cemetery, Autryville, NC The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Friday, April 5, 2013 at Butler Funeral Home, 6535 Clinton Rd., Stedman, NC and other times at her daughter's 8044 Maxwell Road, Wade, NC.
