STEDMAN
Mrs. Eva Mae Hall Faircloth, 87 of 2247 Bainbridge Road, went home to be with her Lord on Friday, July 15, 2011 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville.
The funeral will be held on Monday, July 18, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at Long Branch Baptist Church with Rev. Ricky Spell and Rev. Randal Strickland officiating. Burial will follow at the Faircloth Family Cemetery.
Mrs. Faircloth was born on September 20, 1923 in Sampson County to the late Calton Grey and Roetta Johnson Hall. She is preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Oscar Earnest Faircloth. She graduated as Valedictorian from Clement High School and was a lifetime member of Long Branch Baptist Church. After retiring in 1984 as a Seamstress with Stedman Garment Company, she continued to do alterations in her home for numerous people. She was also well-known for her cakes and pies.
She is survived by: two daughters, Loretta Jane Faircloth of Fayetteville and Sharon Faircloth Drake and husband, Stephen of Rocky Mount; three sons, Lovitte Grey Faircloth and wife, Phyllis of Autryville, Leonard E. Faircloth and wife, Linda of Salemburg and David Faircloth and friend, Janet Johnson of Stedman; seven grandchildren, Amanda Faircloth, Janet Hartsfield, Janis "Flossie" Millard, Chris Faircloth, Samantha "Sam" Faircloth, Emily Drake and Wesley Drake; five great grandchildren, Trae, Hugh, Joseph, Brandon and Will; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 7 to 9 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home in Stedman, and other times at the home.
