Ms. Ethel Brewer Matthews, 83

ROSEBORO Ms. Ethel Brewer Matthews, 83, of 280 Jim Matthews Lane, passed away Sunday, Dec. 10, 2006 at Southwood Nursing and Retirement Center in Clinton. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2006 at 3 PM at Butler Funeral Home with the Rev. Paul Honeycutt officiating. Burial will follow in the Matthews Family Cemetery. Ms. Matthews was a native of Sampson County, the daughter of the late Jim and Mittie Williams Matthews. She was a homemaker. Ms. Matthews is survived by: niece, Alice Faye Williams, of Autryville; four nephews, Vonnice Matthews, of Roseboro, James Edward Hollingsworth, of Franklinton, LA, Carl G. Hollingsworth, of Long Island, NY and H. Eugene Hollingsworth, of Salemburg. The family will recieve friends Tuesday night from 6 till 8 PM at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro.
