Mrs. Ethel P. Hamlett, 66

GARLAND Mrs. Ethel Mae Peterson Hamlett, 66 of 11274 Boykin Bridge Road, died on Wednesday, June 25, 2008 at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Goldsboro. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. at Parkersburg Baptist Church with the Rev. Ronnie Grizzle and Rev. Tom Fortner, Sr. officiating. Burial will follow at the Parkersburg Cemetery. Mrs. Hamlett was born in 1942 in Sampson County to the late Louis J. and Lottie Ruth Sessoms Peterson. She was a former Manager with Prestage Farms. Mrs. Hamlett is survived by: one son, David Hamlett and wife Judy of Boone; one sister, Grace Matthews and husband David of Oak Island; four brothers, Louis Peterson, Jr. and wife Patsy of Dunn, Fulton Peterson and wife Linda of Garland, Kenneth Peterson and wife Joyce of Garland, and Michael Peterson and wife Christy of Garland; three grandchildren, Melissa Hamlett, Jennifer Hamlett, and Lindsay Hamlett; and numerous nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends Friday evening from 7 until 9 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home, 401 W. Roseboro Street, Roseboro.
