Mrs. Esther Judith Horne, 83 passed away Friday, November 10, 2017 at Betsy Johnson Hospital in Dunn.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00pm Sunday, November 12, 2017 at Butler Funeral Home Chapel, officiating will be Pastor Joe Ammons. Burial will follow at George Horne Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00pm to 8:00pm Saturday, November 11, 2017 at the funeral home.

She was born in Wilson County to the late John Clifton Griffin and Esther Judith Finch Griffin. She is also preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, William Henry Horne; and a sister, Billie Griffin Carter.

She is survived by her son, William "Bill" Horne & wife, Gail and daughter, Judy Ramsey & husband, Allen; grandchildren, Misty Horne, Leslie Horne, Hannah Horne, Kristie Rector and Jerry Hall; great grandchildren, Shawn Barefoot, Adriann Jackson, Davis Jackson, Lindsey Strickland, Gracie Cox, Austin Cox, Hunter Rector and Adam Rector; brother, JC Griffin; nieces, Vickie Griffin, Algah Bostic and Jai Riggs and nephews, Will Carter and Cliff Carter.
