Mr. Esten "Earl" Edgar Linkous, Jr. 90 passed away Saturday, September 9, 2017 at the VA Nursing Home in Fayetteville.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Butler Funeral Home Chapel, officiating will be Rev. Yogi Hysel.

The family will receive friends before the service Saturday from 1:00pm to 2:00pm.

He was a World War II veteran, serving with the United States Army. He was also a supervisor for Burlington Industries for over 25 years.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Esten Edgar Linkous, Sr. and Ruby Pearl Lawson Linkous.; sisters, Marie Carpenter, Kathleen Hall and Billy Pennington; and great grandson, Sean Jones.

He is survived by his wife, Geraldine Linkous; children, Terry Linkous (Julie), Pat Jones (Randall), E.C. Jones (Mary), Janice Wilson (Ron), Larry Jones (Brenda) and Tim Jones (Teresa); 18 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and 4 great great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Rivers of Faith Church, S Eastern Blvd, Fayetteville, NC 28306.
