Mr. Ernest Gregory Land, 58 of Wilson and formerly of Fayetteville, passed away Monday, June 27, 2016 at Rex Healthcare in Raleigh.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm Friday at Lafayette Memorial Park, Ramsey Street, Fayetteville, with Jason Criner officiating.

He was born on September 25, 1957 in Alexander County to the late Ernest Morgan Land, Jr. and Mary Criner Land. He worked as a Salesperson with Truck Pro.

He is survived by his daughter, Julia R. Land of Greenville; son, Gregory P. Land of Greenville; sisters, Debra Murphy of Baltimore, Maryland, Karen D. Land of Fayetteville, and Lisa L. Noble and husband James of Stedman; brother, Charles E. Land and wife Janet of Stedman; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Thursday at Butler Funeral Home in Stedman. Following the visitation, family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life for Greg.
