Ernest Wayne Hall, 74 of Roseboro went home to be with his Lord on March 16, 2023.

Wayne was born in Cumberland County to Lonza and Annie Hall. He was also preceded in death by sister Carolyn Godbold and brother Ronnie Mack Hall.

He was a member and former deacon of Mill Creek Baptist Church.

A graduate of Methodist University, he spent his career of 44 years working for Carolina Telephone, later known as Century Link. He worked as an engineering manager and retired with 44 years of service. Wayne was a proud veteran, who served his country in the United States Air Force for 34 years and retired as a Chief Master Sergeant. His unit, 53rd Aps, was his second family.

Wayne loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He loved being at the beach, riding his tractor and being with friends.

Wayne is survived by his wife of 49 years, Joyce “Gigi” of the home, son, Michael Hall and wife Sarah of Denton, KY and daughter Kristy Smith and husband Marcus of Clinton, NC. Grandchildren, Michaelah, Emerson, Hyatt, Kirkland, Audrey, Kerygan, Braylei, Brantlee.

Funeral services will be held at Mill Creek Baptist Church in Roseboro, NC on  Sunday, March 19th at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Tom Hayes and Rev. Dennis Guy officiating.  Family visitation will be held prior to the funeral service from 2:00 to 2:50 p.m. at the church.
