Mrs. Erma Jean Anderson Sweat, 83

Mrs. Erma Jean Anderson Sweat, 83 of 4484 NC Highway 242, passed away Saturday, September 17, 2016 at her home.

Born on July 11, 1933 in Nichols, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Andy and Elizabeth Hobbs Anderson. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Carlis Sweat; sisters, Betty Young, and Gwenelda Holcombe; and brother, Little Jimmy Anderson.

She is survived by her children, Anne DeAngelo and husband Robert of Virginia, Carlis P. "Butch" Sweat and wife Mary Russell of Hope Mills, Elizabeth Markham and husband Dean of Roseboro, and Diana Johnson of the home; 11 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren; and brother, James Thomas Anderson and wife Blanche of Roseboro.

The family will receive friends from 11:30 to 12:00pm Tuesday, September 20 at Beaver Dam Baptist Church, 4693 Beaver Dam Church Road, Roseboro. The funeral service will follow at 12:00pm with Reverend Michael Shook officiating. Interment will follow at Cumberland Memorial Gardens, Raeford Road, Fayetteville.
