Ms. Emma Oleta Honeycutt McDowell, 62 of 312 Maple Street, died on Friday, November 19, 2010 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville.
The funeral service will be held on Monday, November 22, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at Baptist Chapel Church with Rev. Alan Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Ms. McDowell was born in 1948 and was a native of Sampson County. She is preceded in death by her father, Blackman Odell Honeycutt. She worked as a Sales Associate with Wal-Mart.
She is survived by: her mother, Emma Iona Honeycutt; two brothers, Eddie Odell Honeycutt of Fayetteville and Charlie Lynn Honeycutt of Autryville; three sisters, Wanda Honeycutt Grantham of Autryville, Shirley Honeycutt Abay Abay of Autryville and Gloria Honeycutt Royal of Salemburg; her adopted daughter, Christina McDowell Minor of California; her significant other, Billy Gore of Roseboro; and two grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro, and other times at the home of her sister, 1413 Baptist Chapel Road, Autryville.
