FAYETTEVILLE
Mr. Emily Meadows Blanton, 86 of Fayetteville, went home to be with her Lord on November 3, 2010 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville.
The family will celebrate the life of their mother at Calvary Baptist Church, 1948 Pamalee Drive, Fayetteville, on Saturday, November 6, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. Burial will follow at LaFayette Memorial Park in Fayetteville.
Fondly known as Mrs. B to her young people at Calvary Baptist Church, she lived a life of faith in action that was shown in her witness and service to her Savior. She confirmed the love of Christ to her family, friends and strangers alike. She is preceded in death by her husband, Harry D. Blanton and was a homemaker.
She is survived by: two sons, Michael Blanton of Fayetteville and David Blanton of Holly Springs; three daughters, Marsha Crowder, Mary Dingus and Amanda Greene all of Fayetteville; one sister, Eloise Meadows; six grandchildren, one great grandchild.
The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 7 to 9 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home in Stedman, and other times at 309 Beacon Field Drive, Fayetteville.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation, 1305 Navaho Drive, Ste. 101, Raleigh, NC 27609.
