Mrs. Elsie Rose (Renner) Williams, 81 of Roseboro went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, June 25, 2025 at Southwood Nursing Center surrounded by her family.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, June 30, 2025 at Sunrise Memorial Gardens with the Reverend Andy Wood officiating.

Mrs. Williams was a native of Sampson County. She was born on October 20, 1943 in Washington D.C. to Ralph Abraham Renner and Anna E. Shaffer Routzahn. Elsie grew up in Silver Springs, Maryland and raised by her step-father since she was three years old. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her step-father, Roy C. Rouyzhan.

She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Charlotte Tanner and husband, Larry of Roseboro; two sons, Claxton “Billy” Williams, Jr. and wife, Tanya of Lexington, SC; and Clifford W. Williams of Pink Hill; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
