ROSEBORO
Mrs. Elsie Sessoms Tanner, 87 of Roseboro, died on Thursday, January 26, 2012 at the Golden Years Nursing Home in Falcon.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at Peniel Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Jeff Bartlett and Rev. Andy Wood officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Tanner was a native of Sampson County, the daughter of the late Frank and Nannie Hall Sessoms. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond B. Tanner and son, Franklin Ray Tanner. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by one son, Bobby E. Tanner of Roseboro; a granddaughter, Michelle Gaskins and husband, Stephen of Lumberton; two great grandchildren, Jessica Gaskins Arno of Greenville, SC and Jennifer Gaskins of Lumberton; a daughter-in-law, JoAnn Tanner Herring of Lumberton and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM on Saturday at Peniel Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Services entrusted to Butler Funeral Home, 401 W. Roseboro Street, Roseboro, NC.Visitation will be held from 1-2 PM on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at Peniel Pentecostal Holiness Church.
