Mrs. Elsie S. Carter, 71

FAYETTEVILLE Mrs. Elsie Sessoms Carter, 71 of 6456 Cedar Creek Road, died on Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at her home. The funeral service will be held on Monday, June 21, 2010 at 3:00 P.M. at Sharon Baptist Church with Rev. Rob Wingo and Rev. Larry West officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Carter was born on September 5, 1938 in Sampson County to Albert Fleet Sessoms and Onice Sessoms Ezzell. She is preceded in death by her husband, Cleveland Vance Carter. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Carter is survived by: two sons, Gary Carter of Smyrna, GA, and Bobby Carter and wife, Dianne of Stedman; one granddaughter, Hannah Rae Carter. The family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. at Butler Funeral Home in Stedman, and other times at the home.
