Mrs. Ellen Doris (Greene) West, 93 of Roseboro, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, March 8, 2025 at Lower Cape Fear LifeCare in Whiteville.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:30 PM on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro.

A private family graveside service will be held at a later time.

Mrs. West was a native of Sampson County, the daughter of Bertus Bradshaw and Portia Lee Lockamy Greene. She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Lynda Gale Liles; her grandson, Kevin Smith; three brothers, Perdie Greene, Claude Greene and Allen Greene; and five sisters, Gertrude Odum, Katherine Owens, Lucy Caison, Geneva Sessoms and Eloise Greene.

She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, JoAnne Smith (Albin) of White Oak; her son, James West of Dayton, Ohio; two granddaughters, Jennifer Akers and Stephanie Wolf; six great-granddaughters, Brooke Britt, Madison Smith, Isabella Smith, Olivia Akers, Morgan Akers and Cora Wolf; two great-great-grandchildren, Maggie Britt and Thaden Savage; and a number of nieces and nephews.
