Mrs. Elizabeth Williams Sessoms, 94

Mrs. Elizabeth Williams Sessoms, 94, of Summerville, SC, widow of James Calton Sessoms, died Friday morning, Dec. 12, 2008 at Royal Oaks Residential Care, Summerville, SC. A funeral service will be held Sunday, Dec. 14, 2008 at 2:00 pm at Butler Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at the Williams Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1-2 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hall's United Methodist Church Building Fund, Autryville, NC 28318. Mrs. Sessoms was born January 18, 1914 in Sampson County, North Carolina; she was the daughter of the late James Dixon Williams and Kara Spell Williams. She was a graduate of Clement High School and a member of Hall's United Methodist Church Women's Club. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, attending church activities and helping others. She was a homemaker. She is survived by: son, Bill Sessoms and wife Debbie, of Summerville, SC; grandson, Will Sessoms, of Arlington, VA; sister, Margaret Kiser, of Roseboro, NC. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Kara Sessoms and two brothers, Leslie Dixon Williams and James Harland Williams.
